A very strong hefeweizen, with a sour aroma and a flavor that I could only describe as slighty souring pinapple. If Widmer Brother's is a smooth Hefeweizen, this is perhaps a little opposite, offering a more alternative flavor charecter inherrant in quite a few Maritime brews. Definately an experience, but not nessasarily refreshing.
On June 24, 2015. At Jolly Roger Taproom (Maritime Pacific) in Seattle, Washington.Tmoney99 (14856) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 24, 2013

Clear pale golden color, white head. Malty, some spice taste. Malty aftertaste. Light mouthfeel, low bitterness. Malty, light vegetal scent.
Tap. Pourd hazy amber color with an average fizzy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate sweet malt, citrus, yeast aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a sweet finish of average duration. Weakest of the brews I tried from this brewer. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 6, 2011

A nice cloudy beer that is pretty surprisingly unwheaty. Flavor is light, downable and good. Simple yet drinkable. anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - SEP 23, 2008
Draught @ Jolly Roger Taproom, Seattle. Pours a hazy yellow color with a longlasting white head. Has a wheat malty aroma with some weak hints of banana and hops. Wheat malty citrus flavor with banana hints. Sweetish wheat malty finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - SEP 1, 2008
On tap @ the brewpub. Pours opaque hazy gold with straw highlights and bright white head. Classic look with some sheet lacing to boot. The aroma is mild with grain malts, a hint of wheat and a vague hoppiness. The taste is non-wheat maltiness up front with hints of grainy malts and faint wheat. The wheatiness does grow to go along with notes of ripe banana and a hint of bubble gum as the finish approaches. I also get a hop bite tingling away in the background. Pretty nice hefe. On draught at the brewery/taproom grill in suburban Seattle, WA. Pours a hazy golden pale brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissipates to a good retention with excellent lacing. Aroma of banana and white bread, a touch of tropical fruit and some lemon zest. Taste is light to medium bodied, light carbonation with light flavors of white malt, some floral hops, banana and tropical fruit. Finish is semi-sweet and a little thin with a touch of yeast and banana.
