Amber colour, quite clear with a white foamy head. Roasty flavour of caramel and nuts in sync with a strong hop presence and a woody aroma. Medium bodied and a little watery for my taste. Travlr (24302) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 5, 2013
Dry hopped draft at the source. Clear amber color, bright white head, solid lacing. Aroma of toastedcaramel. Taste is similar. mnmike (1086) - Minnesota, USA - APR 24, 2013
Dark red color, caramel notes, nutty with hops on the finish with herbs and resin. Dogbrick (12932) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear dark orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, hops and caramel. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a caramel aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. Hanuta06 (469) - Washington, USA - DEC 31, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2013 Serving: from bottle--purchased at Total Wine & More.
Aroma: lightly hoppy.
Appearance: almost no head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Cloudy, red body.
Taste: lightly acidic initial flavor and lightly bitter finish with average duration.
Palate: light to medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation.
Overall: very good beer that is refreshing and easy to drink. Look forward to drinking it again.

Bottle. Pours a copper amber with light off-white head. Aroma and flavor is malty, and a bit bready. Spicy finish. Easy drinking, but not very complex. Mat42m (160) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - AUG 4, 2012
Malty aroma. Decent malty flavor. Not too much going on. Spicy finish. Decent but nothing memorable. Smurf2055 (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 10, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 29, 2012 On tap at a bar in the U district. Pours redish with small head. Smell is hoppy. Taste caramel and hops. Pretty decent.
"Soured" version on cask at Beveridge Place. Brownish color. Smell is wood and earth, bit of hops. Taste is funky, not really sour, red ale flavors, dirt, plant and vegetable. I believe they said this was aged in the barrel too long and it went sort of sour. yespr (44807) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2012
From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light breadish. Smooth, roaated malty and breadish. Dry finish. reebtogi (6235) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 4, 2012
355ml bottle pours amber in color with a finger and a half of off-white head that leaves only a few specks of lace. Aroma is mild floral hops and hints of caramel. Taste is caramel malty sweetness with a hint of roasty bitterness followed by a nice hoppy bitterness in the finish. This beer was light to medium bodied with some soft carbonation. This was a decent amber ale, but just seemed to be missing a little something.
