Andy_ (1110) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 18, 2013
Dark brown with almost no head at all. Slighly sweet and roasted malty flavor. Thin body, no hops to speak of.

altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Bottle at Mommseneck Berlin. Dark malt body with medium head. Nose malty, sweet, watery. Taste is caramel, malts, sugar, plums, faint licorice notes. Pretty good.

visionthing (5334) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 10, 2013
50cl bottle at Aufsturz, Berlin. Pours very dark, almost black, with an off-white head. Lightly malty aroma with caramel, some roasty notes and hints of spices. Quite sweet and lightly roasty with a slightly dry finish with a pleasant bitterness. Well balanced. Quite nice and easy to drink. (2013-04-05)

jordinc (105) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Draft. Not much by way of aroma. Very dark, moderate head that dissipated quickly. Dry and ashy on the palate. Strong cooked cereal and roasted malt flavor. A bit odd for a swarz, but I enjoyed it as something different.

StoutHead (965) - DENMARK - FEB 25, 2013
On tap. Pours dark brown with a meduim brown head. Not much aroma, but a sweet taste of malt and caramel. Meduim body and carbonation. Very good schwarzbier.

50cl Bottle from Getränke Hoffmann Boxhagener Str. Berlin. Dark reddish brown to black colour, off-white head. Aroma is light tar, grain. Flavour is light sweet, light roasted malts, a little caramel, ash, dry and bitter grainy finish. Light-bodied. Not very enjoyable.

abemorsten (3610) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - OCT 25, 2012
0,5 l bottle at Hopfingerbräu im Hauptbahnhof, Berlin. Clear coca cola colored body with a lasting one inch foamy tan colored head leaving excellent lacing. Floral, herbal nose. Roasted, malty, bitter and aromatic mouth. Medium to full body. Dry tongue. Roasted bitter finish.

ecomie (16) - GERMANY - AUG 16, 2012
Riecht nur ein wenig malzig. Der Geschmack ist wässrig nicht stark. Im nachgeschmack kommt der karamellige malz Geschmack etwas raus.

Arve_Christian (5138) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 8, 2012
On tap in Berlin Dark brown/ black color, good foam. Aromas of malt & toffee Medium body & complexity Good carbonation. Some sweetness Ok, but not impressive

3.2
ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 29, 2012
Bottle. Dark chocolate body, big cloudy light beige head. Nose is sour-ish vinegar-like ashy tones with hints of dark chocolate. Weird. Taste is light acidic chocolate with hints of licorice and ashes, which somehow workds really well. Full body, medium carbonation which is more than I had expected. Surprisingly nice for what is essentially a kind of weird schwartz.
