Bottle. Golden with a bubbly white foam. Aromas are caramel and candy sugar with bready yeast and banana. Mellow lemon with minerals and floral aspects. Mixed spices with grain and traces of honey. Flavours are sweet caramel and grain with coriander spiciness and bittersweet lemon. Bready yeast with a herbal, dry, leafy finish. Not bad at all.
Bottle from Marks & Spencer, Manchester. Blonde with a head. Hops, some pale malts, with a heavy bubble-gum sweetness. Mildly fruity too with some orange apparent, but it’s very sugary. Gary (2036) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 25, 2016
330ml .In an Orval chalice .. Yeasty nose suggests brown bread , dusty books , a little boiled sweets , caramel , vanilla , citrus hops , wet cardboard . Dull orange without any redeeming head retention..light ring on white basically . Flavours and notes on the palate . Sweet side of rich , a tad cloying on first few sips - notes of caramel ,vanilla , spicy hops , book dust . This is ok stuff , but very low boost for a ’belgian ale’- lacks the boozy spice emphasis i like , feels a bit like a uk bitter . Swaroga (2223) - Warszawa, POLAND - AUG 12, 2015
Not an exciting or exceptional Belgian blonde but well balanced and decent. Good carbonation but small head as for a Belgian. Aroma is biscuit and apricot. Like a fruit cake. Flavor is medium sweet with strong cake and fruit notes. Almost no bitterness. Finish is delicately acid and not long. OK. gegwilson (3752) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2015
Bottle from M&S. Pours golden with a good off white head. Floral citrus aroma. The taste is similar with earthy yeast notes. Moderate spice. Light and refreshing, but nothing to write home about. Fin (10698) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 15, 2015
Bottle picked up at Marks & Spencer, Bicester consumed at home Sunday 15th 2015 Hazy gold/orange with white head. Yeasty in mouth, perhaps a tad sweet and little vanilla, spiciness isn’t too hefty. Not bad at all, a Belgian blonde that I would be quite happy to drink. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

33cl Bottle from M&S A’dam, thanks to my in-laws. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of cloves, quite spicy, light fruity, a bit like a Belgian strong blonde ale, yeast and alcohol. Flavour is likewise, not too sweet, nice bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Decent. Stuu666 (14044) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 21, 2015

330ml bottle bought at M&S Food Store in SoHo, Central.
Cloudy hazy light orange blonde colour with very thin trace of yeast sediments; One and a half finger head with crumpety white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with fizzy small carbonation; Very fragrant aroma of Pils malt, with strong vanilla, banana, sugar, light caramel, honey, bubble gum, ester, coriander, light alcohol, bread, strong Bel yeast and thin grassy hops; Close to light sweet taste of Pils malt, with strong wheaty tartness, cherry, red fruits, pineapple, coriander, strong orange peels, light molasses notes, light alcohol, yeast, lemon light bitter grassy hops; Mid to light body. Slick and creamy palate; Mouth feel is pretty good Pils malt base with strong wheat presence, tartness all the way which overwhelms the sweet. Prominent orange peels and coriander, way stronger than most Belgian Whites. Ester is red-fruit based and light, with pineapple comes out as beer warms. Lesser Bel yeast taste. Spunky and nice!... Hoppiness is thin grassy nose, lemony and grass in taste. Bitterness is moderate hops - notably strong for the style - for an abrupt mid-to-low astringent finish; Dry after taste. Creamy and citrusy to mouth.
Comments: This one is brewed by Huyghe, so I had some expectation and it shows: Solid Pils base and despite the strong wheatyness, the body is still creamy, the malt and yeast work well to bring out some nice fruity bites with little sweetness and good moderate booziness. I enjoy Huyghe’s stuff for having good quality and its takes are quite different from other Belgian brewers. M&S has a good one here. Enjoyable!
A decent Belgian Ale from M&S. Pours hazy blond with a good fluffy white head. Bittersweet flavours with earthy spicy notes balanced by honeyish malt bill. Palate is spritely and medium bodied. allmyvinyl (10823) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 1, 2014
330ml bottle from m&s Edinburgh. Pours clear golden yellow, thin white head. Aromas of orange, banana yeastiness, light spice. Taste brings some floral notes, orange bitter. Medium body, creamy texture, but slightly prickly carbonation. Good.
