Very nice Porter. Has a great refreshing texture and a nice aroma of chocolate.

Yuck, earwax, puke and fishoil. Is this supposed to taste like this? I’m outta here! Backlog from 2014/04/05.

Gurthnar (6109) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 28, 2015
Bottle from local MaS. Rich aroma with lots of dried fruits and a hint of roast. Clear dark brown colour, small head that disappears rather quickly. The taste reveals a beer full of goodness. Aaah I hope this stays the same even after the SAB Miller acquisition of Meantime. Classic representation of style, dried fruits combine harmonically with subtle roasty chocolate notes. Very easy drinking. Very good.

500ml bottle, drank straight from the bottles so can’t comment in appearance. Aroma is caramel, Malta and burnt toast. Quite heavily carbonated. Apart from sweet caramel, not much in the taste with a stale finish.

Bottle - dark reddy brown with decent frothy tan head. Chocolate, coffee and slight vanilla aroma. Initial ting on tongue, but goes down well. Chocolate and roasted coffee tasting with dry finish - easily drinkable - enjoyed.

Swaroga (2223) - Warszawa, POLAND - OCT 4, 2015
Nothing really exciting about this one. Brown in color. I can even see through it. Head is small and beige in color. Watery with streight forward burned malt flavor. More water and a bit of black chocolate but I might be a bit exaggerating. It’s an easy drink for those who need to quench their thirst and they hate clear beers.

Aroma: coffee, chocolate, citrus, lactose, caramel, roast; Taste: intense sourness, slight sweetness, slight bitterness; Palate: light body, watery texture, abrupt finish, average carbonation Smooth, a bit too sour and light bodied, could be improved.

Mjp12 (1918) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2015
Good porter aroma, but for a 5.5% beer, this tastes a bit thin. Not a bad porter, but not as strong as some of the other beers in the new range

jvhemert (401) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 20, 2015
Aroma: smoke, toast, chocolate Appearance: dark brown, no head Taste: little sweet, medium bitter Palate: very thin, no body Overall: aromas start interesting but without a body and aromas suddenly disappearing this is not one to repeat.

500ml bottle (M&S Rocca al Mare, Tallinn)
Rich cherry wood red, dark beige tight head. Pleasatly nutty aroma, nice husky grains, just a little bit of coffee. So grainy. Smooth palate, pleasant carbonatuon. Simple toasted wholemeal bread, lovely nuttiness, a little bit walnutty, some hint of almond. Finish a little bit toastier still. Damn, this is breakfast - I just need some honey on it.
