Bottle from local M&S. Pours a nice amber with a liight white head. has a very light aroma of hops and a bit of cereal. taste is very light, slight bitterness coming through. Body is also very thin, watery almost. Finish is bitter but short. Basically not enough of anything here to make it worth recommending. The basis of a good beer but just that, a simple UK take on an American ale, without any of the attitude. im suprised it came out at 2.9 actually.

500ml bottle from M&S, Watford. Admittedly it's a bit warm, but this is pretty bland. Minor hop profile, and a bit metallic.

Bottle. Pours medium amber pale ale with a medium white foam residing perfect. Scent is light pale malt and a nice light hop profile. Taste is medium caramel malt and plenty of hops at about 35 IBU. Smooth and creamy. Great.

Bottle from M&S. Light golden ale, bubbly white froth. Amazing how widespread Cascades are these days, this beer tastes to be honest like so many other vaguely citrusy fruity light bitters and pale ales. A little yeasty, light touch of malt. Pleasant but could have been more hopped.

Bottle from Marks and Spencer, Den Haag. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is light metallic hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light watery malt, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Too light and not much going on flavour wise.

500ml Flasche. Klar und dunkelgolden. Mittelgrosse Schaumkrone. Leicht malzig. Durchschnittlich herb. Bisschen trocken.

Erzengel (8874) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAR 5, 2016
*Old rating, bottle in the UK. Malty and round beginning. The beer is fruity and smooth, the body moderate grainy. The hops are present but not too intense. Spicy, floral and round. Easy to drink stuff, but nice though.

Ciemnozłote, zmętnione. Piana drobna, kremowa. W aromacie owocowe, lekkie nuty cytryny. Nie do końca przypomina Cascade. W smaku niewysoka goryczka, lekka kontra słodowa. Przyjemne, lekkie w odczuciu pale ale. Ale nic więcej.

Bottle from M&S Westbourne-Dorset. Bought as part of the "award winning English ales" range. Aroma=Citrus fruit, biscuit, hay/grass, head builds and decays fast(uneventful), caramel. The wife said it reminded her of Kronenbourg-Blanc (wheat beer). Taste=Light/Medium slightly sweet malted tones, along with citrus fruit dominating later. Although not overpowering by any stretch, it makes a great palate cleanser after eating a meal consisting of strong flavours (like garlic or chilli). Overall I took to this ale pretty fast, I do like the classic American IPA’s, most of which feature chinook and cascade hops in some way shape or form. I don’t think it is really unique enough to stand out, if compared directly and would quickly become lost in a session, where a handful of American IPA’s are present. However, as an English ale it is perfectly fine and good, satisfying to drink and good ABV. I did have to smile at the writing on the bottle which states "Classic British ale, brewed with Cascade hop created in Oregon state(U.S.)"! One of the better in this M&S range of beers.
