Bottle. Golden with a thin head. Aromas are caramel and honey with leafy, earthy notes and blackberries. Floral with cookie dough and brown sugar. Flavours are sweet caramel and biscuit with stewed apple and honey. Earthy and lightly fruity with bitter lemon on the finish. Decent.

2016 catch up - It was a beer with a lot of flavour, but it was also quite rich. Not the most sessionable, but lots of body and I feel it would have worked better with food.

500ml bottle from M&S Edinburgh. Small white head, good lacing. Clear golden amber body. Light malty nose, biscuit, bread, a little indistinct sweetness. Malt dominates the flavour as well, bread, light caramel, some earthy hops, light bitterness lingers on. Medium carbonation, decent enough mouthfeel. Standard English ale, not great.

Bottle from M&S. Discontinued at £1.20. Couldn't work out the predominant flavour here. Sweetish, floral-ish but what was it? It's like a chocolate porter is the answer! Which is odd as the label says honey flavoured. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

JorgeLee (2086) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2016
Bottle from M&S. Light golden colour, thin foam. I quite like the hop, some earth, wood, herbal. Not an aggressive hop level. I don’t mind the decent malt level, although there was a slightly odd sweetness in there. But overall a pleasant ale.

500ml bottle (M&S, Stansted)
Rich sweet malty aroma, some toffee. Full smooth palate. Lots of toffee in the taste and great full fruity hops. Packed full of esters. Great start to the day, a really characterful golden ale.

Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - SEP 1, 2015
bottle from M&S Exeter. Amber-golden colour, mid-sized white head. Malty start with some caramel and roasetd malts, earthy background with some fruity bitter flavours.

BrewTom (660) - - AUG 1, 2015
Golden amber colour. Strawberries & apricots on the nose. Sweet with light caramel flavours. Reminds me of a light barleywine with a good bitter ending. Rated by BrewTom

mahkus (136) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - JUL 10, 2015
Big well-retaining head. Golden colour with lots of bubbles. Smell is dominated by added honey-flavour. Hop taste is longlasting but not too bitter.
