A full flavoured beer with a subtle refreshing citrus flavour.
Created by Adnams’ Master Brewer, this pale yet full flavoured beer is made using a blend of East Anglian malted barley and wheat. Boadicea and First Gold hops from England and Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand combine to create the subtle citrus notes and refreshing flavour.

Bottle. Blonde with a small head.Citrus explodes from the start with some hops floating around. Very distinctive and should be available to a bigger market than just Marks and Spencer.

[500ml bottle from M&S, Reading] Light amber with a swiftly disappearing frothy white head and a nice fluffy light fizz. Slightly odd peppery aroma, a hint of lemon, and then a big wash of kiwi fruit and lychee. Lots of white pepper again in a good malt base, some ginger, a hint of juicy melon and a slight dryness in the finish. Wonderfully light and refreshing, whilst at the same time being awash with unusual flavours, this is another super pale ale from Adnams, confirming them in my find as the UK’s best regional brewer.

50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK via M&S. First birthday beer, here it goes. Medium gold, very little head. Orange and honey aroma with a bright hop zest and some resin. Lime comes through on the first sip, somewhat mouth puckering, then transitions to sweet honey and coriander.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2012
Bottled 12/11/12. A golden coloured beer which poured with no head. Citrussy fruity with a soapy element. Peach and tropical fruits in the mouth. A bit of sticky marmalade. Not bad.

berkshirejohn (6588) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 8, 2013 50cl bottle. An attractive golden amber with a flat white head; the aroma has some grain, honey and peachy tropical fruit; the taste the same with a slight sourness; followed by a grassy bitterness, and a sticky finish. Rather good.
