Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a small foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was caramel, dark fruits and was somewhat bitter. The flavor was bitter toffee, a hint of dry coffee and dark fruits. The finish was long, dry, bitter and had lingering dark fruits and toffee. Medium body. Ok. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy brown with a very small white head. Aroma of toasted malt, bread, light sweet malt, caramel, nutmeg spices. Flavor of sweet and caramelly malts, earthy hops, with bitterness in the finish. Tastes a bit different from other ESBs with its earthy notes. Tasty!
