3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasted this on tap at the Selinsgrove Beer & Wine Festival.
A cloudy, dirty blode appearence. Light.
A nice summer brew.
Light yellow and cloudy with a small head with large bubbles. There is a hint of orange citrus in the spicy hop aroma and flavor. A nice clean maltiness with no apparent off flavors. I liked it quite a lot. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 9, 2011
Tap. Pours a clear dark gold with a small wispy white head that disappeared pretty quickly. The nose is very minimal, a bit of crackery malt, but no perceptible hops. The flavor is just as bland as the nose, some pale maltiness with a little too much lingering sweetness. The hops are minimal at best, just a slight floral bitterness on the finish. Like most of their lagers that I’ve had thus far, it doesn’t finish very clean or crisp. Not sure what their lagering routine is, but it needs some work. Fairly thin and easy drinking with moderate fizzy carbonation. Another thumbs down overall. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 16, 2011
Pours copper color with a light white head. Has a faint estery vibe going on in the nose. Taste is crisp and clean. I’m surprised at the 35 IBU’s because I can’t taste them though I know they’re in there because of its’ clean finish.
