Into a snifter. Thin head, deep copper colored body.
Rich smell of caramel, fresh bread and grain.
Rich taste as well. Caramel, mildly bitter with a malt backbone.
Sticky feeling, medium body with low carbonation.
A genuine good beer. The smell is outstanding and it has a great taste to follow.
Bottle in Tulsa. Light caramel malt aroma with hints of grain. Pours cloudy amber colored with a thin off white head and some lacing. Starts with light caramel and grain. Finishes smooth with a bit of a hoppy bitterness. Good British pub ale. Stevesie (336) - - DEC 28, 2014

This followed the style points fairly well. Mild malty aroma, maybe a little woody. Light amber color with a thin head. Light palate with a smooth character. Carbonation could have been dropped a little. Malty and roasted flavors that had subtlety with a minor hops presence. Fairly well balanced. Bottle share w/Travlr. Medium amber pour with a small head. Toasted wood, caramel malt, some leather. Pretty syrupy. Grainy. Cardboard, a bit knackered. Weird character of tinned spaghetti o’s. Light body, oily. Soft carbonation. Not great.

Bottle. Pours clear deep amber orange with a small off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma is hugely malt, caramel, biscuit, a bit of cardboard. Pours a very cloudy dark amber with a thin head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of malt, bread and tobacco. Malt follows through on taste with a bit of bitter caramel. A bit of oil on the tongue with some carbonation. Very quaffable beer. Nothing spectacular, just solid.
