COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Old Pavilion Pilsner was inspired by Brewmaster Eric Marshall’s time as an apprentice brewer in Germany. Crisp and clean with a distinct and pleasurable hop flavor and aroma, Old Pavilion Pilsner is brewed in the North German “Pils” style. Brewed with American malts, a mixture of American and German hops, and fermented with a German strain of bottom-fermenting lager yeast, this beer is crafted with a deep reverence for one of the world’s most successful beer styles..

Yellow with a white head. The aroma has some grain and grass notes. The flavor is full of grain, grass and biscuit malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Yellow gold color out of the bottle with a sticky white head. Grassy and lemon rind hops in this with some biscuity malts. Strong hop bitterness in a nice crisp finish.

12oz bottle 7/19/13 (Brown Derby Springfield)-46° in Large tulip like Glass-Pours hazy yellowish golden with small white head. Aroma of hops, grains and bready. Taste of the same with a nice dry finish. This light bodied brew is pretty darn tasty but just not my style.

Bottle, thanks to soonerchamps. Hazy straw colored pour with a thin white head. Quite a bit of sticky lacing. Aroma is grassy, herbal, and bready; no surprises. Taste is crisp and refreshing with more florals and less herbals. Solid bready malt backbone. Good.

(12oz bottle) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a tall white head. Aroma of florals, grass, and earthiness. Flavor of grass, earth, cracker, light citrus, some mineral, and florals.

Pours clear gold with white fizzy head. Aroma of grain and grass. Flavor much the same, nice pilsner malt back bone. Light body, high carbonation. Overall, not bad! Just didn’t care for the finish.

A - Pours a cloudy golden straw. 2 finger bone-white head. S - Grassy hops, sweet grain, subtle yeast, lemon citrus, lots of fresh spice, a touch of honey. Bread comes out as it warms. T - Crisp bitterness from the hops. Herbal and spicy. Some bready grain notes with a touch of sweetness. The underling yeast has a sense of coriander. Citrus notes provide a very clean finish. Citrus really comes out in the aftertaste. A very refreshing pilsner. Crisp and clean. Excellent session for early season football. Serving type: bottle 09-11-2010

For a by-the-books type of beer, it is a good effort. Straw colored appearance with a light head. Not a very strong aroma other than mild malt and yeast. This was easy to drink with a crisp and clean palate with above average carbonation. The hops presence was higher than expected. This bitterness lingered a bit. Good choice for a style that is typically not very exciting.
