Pours a maroon color. Only a slight head caramel colored head. It doesnít last long, but the lacing does. Itís somewhat cloudy.jackl (8022) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 22, 2014
Smells woody. I think itís more of cedar, might be spruce. Itís odd, canít quite put my finger on it.
Tastes a lot like it smells. Itís more bitter than sweet. Itís somewhat chewy. Iím guessing that Iím getting a lot of hops in the taste. Thereís not a whole lot else. It might have a slightly smoky taste.
Mouthfeel is medium. Finishes bitter, lingers bitter.
Overall, it reminds me more of an IPA, but Iíve not had a lot of red ales before, so I could be wrong. I like this. Itís pretty good. Itís not quite what I expected. I would recommend it, but I donít know that this is one I would look for myself.
Sample @ Great Arkansas Beer Fest. Amber pour with a small head. Some chocolate malt. Somewhat earthy. Mild leather and trail mix. Similar flavor. A bit of cocoa and dehydrated strawberry fruit snacks. Caramel. Medium body, soft carbonation. OK. Atom (2418) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 16, 2014
12oz bottle pours a murky mahogany with a large khaki head. Hop and bitter caramel garbage aroma. Nice citrus hop taste, clean bitterness, complex malt bill, deep bready caramel. Pretty tasty. Travlr (24292) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 21, 2014
Sample at Great Arkansas beer festival. This one is dank, sweaty, earthy with a bittersweet finish. Not bad. MartzMimic (84) - Oklahoma, USA - JUN 11, 2014
On tap at Grandadís. Pours a solid amber with a foamy head that dissipates fairly fast. Decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is predominately spruce and pine, with just a touch of malt. Not surprisingly, thatís exactly how it tastes. The blend of hops makes it reasonably interesting. Nice bitterness. Medium mouth. Thereís not a lot of carbonation, so the aftertaste hangs on the tongue well. This is my second time to try this one, and it really reminds me of an IPL like Widmer Bros. Hopside Down. This isnít spectacular, but just a solid brew that always hits the spot.

Pours red-brown with a lively medium head. Not a strong aroma. This is a straight-forward but flavorful hoppy red ale, with a nice interplay between the bright hop character and a malty sweetness. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - APR 29, 2014
Pours amber with two fingers of tan head. Hoppy aroma citrus and some pine. Flavor is slightly malty and very hoppy. Nice beer. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - APR 17, 2014
Bottle thanks to . Pours a deep red, almost looks like blood, with a small foamy head that fades to a thick ring and leave nice webbing. Love the appearance. Aroma is fairly hoppy with lots of grass, citrus, and pine. Some light caramel malt too. Taste has strong pine and citrus, moderately bitter. Grainy and bready finish with lingering pine hops. A little thin in the body. This could probably be called an Amber IPA. Pretty nice. Bricktop86 (844) - Moore, Oklahoma, USA - APR 13, 2014
Clean amber in appearance with a white head. Aroma of pine and grass with a sweet grain backing. Taste follows nose. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 13, 2013
Red pour with an off-white head. The aroma has some red malt as some earth. The flavor is more of the same. Tastes like your classic American red ale with some grass and earth from the hops. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation.
