COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat beer with a Belgian inspiration, Sundown Wheat aims to blend the best of two worlds. This refreshingly light beer is brewed with American wheat, two-row barley, and a touch of flaked oats. It is delicately hopped with American Sterling hops and spiced in the tradition of Belgian wit beers, using coriander and dried sweet orange peel.

Hazy yellow color out of the bottle with virtually no head. Light sweet nose of 7-Up and fresh orange juice. Spritzy beer with some spice, tangerine and orange pop notes, with some bitter orange peel in the finish. Very light, flavorful beer.

12 oz single purchased while in the Tulsa area. This pours a murky yellow color with a fizzy short-lived head. I must say, not the most attractive looking brew. The aroma has a mix of wheat, lemon, and herbs. Refreshing and light going down with flavors mirroring the aroma; a lemon zing with a soft herbal character and wheat. It is limited and a bit thin but it’s a decent warm weather session beer.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma of grain and citrus. Taste is wheat, lemons, and spices. Nothing special, but decent.

Another average wheat ale - earthy aroma, typical lemon flavor profile, and a bit of spice at the end (coriander/orange) to give it slightly something extra. Okay.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with white head. Wheat, lemon, straw, yeast aromas. Lemon, spicy, wheat flavors. A lot of spice, I didn’t think it melded right with the wheat style.

Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - AUG 2, 2012
On tap at the Flying Saucer in Little Rock, AR. Pours a lightly hazed, straw yellow-orange colored body with a thin, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is grainy and crackery wheats with a touch of sweetness and a light citrus note. Flavor is simple, but better. Crisp, grainy wheats with a light citrus note. Subtle coriander spice with a touch of orange zest before this finishes clean with a very light hopping. Short aftertaste following a light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, nothing special, but an easy drinking, clean wheat. Not bad.
