An American wheat beer with a Belgian inspiration, Sundown Wheat aims to blend the best of two worlds. This refreshingly light beer is brewed with American wheat, two-row barley, and a touch of flaked oats. It is delicately hopped with American Sterling hops and spiced in the tradition of Belgian wit beers, using coriander and dried sweet orange peel.

Mild hops and inoffensive. Nothing about this beer stands out and a few hours later I can't recall anything about other than it was just okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle in Tulsa. Wheat malt aroma with light clove, coriander and orange citrus. Pours golden colored with a thin white head and no lacing. Starts with a good amount of wheat flavor and a little bit of clove spice. Finishes smooth with orange citrus and coriander joining the wheat and clove. Decent wheat beer.

On tap. Pours a hazy gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of belgian spice, clove, light banana and backing wheat. Flavor is similar with light grain and wheat backed by light spice and banana.

Bottle. Pours a murky yellow with nearly no head. Weak aroma of mild citrus. The taste has wheat and orange zest-like citrus to it. Overall pretty watery, like most of their beers. Perfectly fine to throw a few back, very easy to sip. But also bland. 4.7% alcohol.

Pours a hazy yellow with some head. Citrus and wheaty notes. Flavor has a little bit of sweet malt and citrus. Not a bad session beer. Medium bodied.

Bottle from 2013 Secret Santa. Glad my bottle didn’t have the sweet wax job like the photo. Pretty nice wheat ale over all. Good touch of hops and lots of nice orange and citrus flavors. Tasty.

Bottle: Pale yellow color, sort of hazy, with a thin white head. Nose is a bit maltier than expected, overall sweet and lightly floral. Lively citrus notes in the flavor along with the lightly crisp wheat and florals. An easy drinker that brings a sort of vibrant feel to the tired old wheat ale.

Nothing spectacular here, but a decent, easily quaff-able session beer. A bit of orange peel and other citrus flavors, some dirt, and a watery aftertaste.
