Blue Stoops,Chesterfield. Straw to gold colour with good lacing and a head that goes the distance. Slight citrus taste, smooth and slightly oily on the palate. The beers in this pub are usually tip-top and this was no exception. A good session beer that punches above it,s weight. Many beers of this type are instantly forgettable, but Cromwells is one that sticks in the mind. Good stuff.
3.8% gold colour with a good head, citrus hop aroma and citrus hop taste, nice beer.

Cask (handpump) at the Three Guineas, Reading on 27 April 2011. Mid gold colour. Quite bitter with a firm, light mouthfeel. Sharp fruit prominent - mainly citrus. A decent, quite well balanced, pale quaffer although there’s nothing particular to male it stand out from the crowd.
