On gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol April 2013. Amber with a slight, off-white head. cereal malts, a touch of berry fruit and moderately bitter finish. wheresthepath (2345) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2013
[Cask at Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Amber-gold with small white head. Good mouthfeel. Grassy, herby, hoppy continental hops are evident. In fact it’s quite a reasonably well-hopped beer with a good balance. A little dry in the fihish. The big problem for me here is that I’m not a big fan of continental hops & I don’t especially want them in a UK- style bitter. Sorry. But it’s probably a good lager to bitter transition beer for those who need such things.

Taste of soft spicy lager hops, bit metallic, light honey, sweet pale malts

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Thin, somewhat perfumed beer, reasonably bitter but just lacks any depth.
