[3126-20100711] 500mL bottle. Grainy malt aroma has a little toasted sweet corn. Clear, red amber body with a medium-lasting foamy tan head. Toasted sweet grainy malt flavour has a sweet light strawberry licorice aftertaste. Medium-full body. Good.

Mid to dark brown coloured with some fruit aroma. Fruity sweet flavour. Dry and slightly bitter on the palate with a warming malt finish. downender (8774) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2011
Bottle from Humpers, Staple Hill. dark, ruddy brown with a short-lived, off-white head. Sweet, caramel, red berry fruit and candy sugar aroma. Flavour was a bit sugary, with a pasteurised edge some fruit fruit and warming alcohol finish. A bit industrial but still a good winter warmer. maeib (8751) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2005
Bottled. A dark, reddy brown coloured beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and sugary with some berry fruit. The taste is also really sweet almost to the point of nastiness although there is some blackberry for late balance. However where is the alcohol? It’s pretty much unnoticeable. 500ml bottle at home, a month past its BB date, 7.4%. Very dark reddy brown, sparkling, small tan head. Aroma is yeast, some apple and coins, wet paper. Body is rounded, soft carbonation, touch foamy. Taste is breathy dark malts, dates, treacle, tangy booze. Something quite ’Belgian’ about it - not sure if it’s the yeast used... Decent, interesting to try, but probably not one I’d reach for again.

17 cl bottle vintage 1977 @ vPBF. Thanks Pat!Cunningham (8282) - Halden, NORWAY - APR 9, 2017
Aroma has some raisins, cardboard and some moldy cellar. Flavour has some metal, moldy cellar, hints of raisins and sugar. Feels like most of the flavour bouquet is gone.
Something has probably turned really wrong here. Infected I suppose. Lots of butter and vinegar. As you surely understand, not meant for human consumption.DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 30, 2007

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2010 Almost stout-like deep ruby with a creamy, yellowed head. Smells a bit like Vimto; honey, blackcurrant and chocolate also there. Quite silky, audibly prickling with carbonation, head fizzes out in seconds. Flavour has licorice, caramel sweetness, chewy dark fruits, Kasteel Donker and a great big slug of booze. Slightly roasted finish. A beer that unfolds its secrets as it warms. Going to try and stand up now. Hermod (8250) - Vantaa, FINLAND - AUG 25, 2010
50cl bottle on Silja Serenade. Poured dark amber color with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Aroma is toffee and fruits. Flavor is roasted caramel malt and dried fruits. Finish is sweet, slightly bitter. RichTheVillan (8151) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2013
Bottle from B&M Bargains; mahogany brown pour with velvety beige head, sweet stewed fruit aroma, quite sweet fruity taste, malts, a hint of grass, caramel, bitter finish, ABV present. Not bad.
