500ml bottle from tesco’s pours with a tan head, bit of lacing aroma is not particularily strong, but pleasant, sort of generically stouty dark appearance, again stout by numbers, thinner than i had hoped for taste was pleasant and importantly i got some oyster through faintly. the stout elemant was not particularily groundbreaking, bit of malt bit too thin on the palate overall, this was pretty average, wasn’t expecting brilliance and it didn’t exceed expectations. would be nice with seafood

OK beer - had on tap not bottle so probably better that way. Pitch black appearance, small tanned head. Smokey aroma typical with a stout. Smooth on the palate, minimal carbonation, OK aftertaste. At £2 odd a pint I'm not complaining. Always finish with a half at my local on the way home. It is what it is, not special but I've certainly had worse. Not sure on the bottle conditioned version as I've not had it.

"Dark - Rich - Smooth"? More like bland, watery and disappointing. Very little taste of any sort at all. Considering that this cost more than 2,50 EUR where I live, this was a major disappointment.

Faint aroma of roastiness and stale coffee. Some roasted malts, no oysters whatsoever, but there's some toasted bread. Watery, easy to drink. Meh, okay-ish.

Really dark brown color with tan head. Aroma is really faint, just some toasted malt and dark bread notes. Taste has roasted malts, slightly ashy, burnt bread crust and a hint of bitter chocolate. Light to medium body and carbonation. Really easy drinking stout.

The bottle is better than it tastes. Tastes more like a pilsner than a stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A bottle labelled as 'Pearl Jet' from Jason's near NCCU, drunk at home. Aroma: freshly shaved wood. Appearance: hazy cola, 1-2 mm. tan lacing. Palate: light-bodied, rather thin and dry with average carbonation, yet pleasingly complex finish. Taste: well-balanced medium sweet and bitter, liquorice, wood. Tasty, though I prefer something with a bigger kick.

I picked up this bottle at the Alcampo in Sevilla. I tried it yesterday at home in the Cerro del Aguila. In my point of view, I was a bit disappointed about this beer. I waa expecting something with more personnality. First of all, the body is as usual splendid with a deep dark body, white and brown foam, the carbonation is a bit lower than usual. The taste is really bland and watery, few roasted malt, few aromas in general and dry, oyster is not present, mineral, so-so.

30.9.2017 (pilsner glass, 500ml bottle) // Smell: Quite weak, Winey and malty. // Mouthfeel: Watery, medium-soft carbonation, light and thin. // Head: Compact, brownish and smooth. // Taste: Very watery, bready -- light maltiness, herbal -- scarce hoppy bitter aftertaste. // Look: Static, homogenous black. // Overall: A rather boring beer. Very watery and has a shallow profile. //
