Bottle. Pale Golden Amber in colour. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Hoppy; spicy slightly earthy hops. Fruity; mildly citrus orange. Sweet malty fruity throughout balanced by slightly bitter spicy hops. Drinkable. OK. (2010-06)

Ok, not Hops at all. All Little bit malt. But nothing Special. The Wood is not in the Aroma! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Some confusion here. Ratebeer has this at 5% not 4.5% which is what it is. A perfectly enjoyable, inoffensive pale ale slightly lacking in oomph, but goes down nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark golden color, small head. Sparkling clear. Great lacing. Very light aroma, some cooked vegetables and rag. Very sweet, almost not bitter. Some caramel in flavor. Taste completely not in style. Medium to full body, very smooth.

jamaty (2147) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUN 17, 2015
Ingredientes naturales y agua de manantial. Cobriza. Poca espuma. Refrescante y bebible.

Copper colour, two fingers head that domes down soon, but leaving lace and ring. Aroma of butter, grass, caramel. Classic limestone flavour of Burton, medium body, rough palate. Taste of butter, butter cookies, flowers, spices. Really good.

Finally bought a bottle only to find out the beer has been retired since 2013... well then! No bottling date, so that wouldn’t have tipped me off, either. Aroma: Biscuit and moderate caramel with light honey and spicy wood. Appearance: Rich, translucent copper pour with a foamy tan head that fades into a sticky skin. Flavor: Nice melding of caramel biscuit and woody spice throughout, leading to a fairly dry, lightly bitter finish. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: Probably somewhat removed from what the brewer intended at this point, but still a solid ale. Wish I could have tried this fresh.
