Little to comment on. Served out the beer engine with a sparkler, so great mouth feel, but did nothing for the aroma or any hops, if they were present. By no means bad, but neither great or exciting.

Cask at Sports Bar & Grill, Crossrail Place. It pours a clean pale amber color with small off white head. Aroma is grassy leafy with light caramel and lemon peel notes. Taste is also crispy grassy with more notes of crackers, lemon peel and straw. Light bodied with ok carbonation. Overall, nice one

Slightly better then the pint of Marston’s Smooth I had in the same local pub with a touch more taste, but like many Marstons ales I find a lot of them bland & forgettable. Pedigree is an ok session ale & easy enough to drink.

Revisiting this one on cask at The Railway Tavern, Richmond. As ’Marstons Pedigree’. Dark orange brown, clear, still, diminishing head. Aroma is caramel wafer, demerara. Body is very smooth with low carbonation. Not much life in it. Taste is bready and thin, more demerara, a bit of a cheesy dimension, a little astringent. Below average for style.

Cask. Pours darkish amber. Not loads of aroma, just a bit of malt. Fairly bland taste. Perhaps it was better in days gone by or perhaps there’s just better options nowadays.

Cask at the Fieldhouse Solihull. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a creamy frothy white head. The aroma is light hop, light malt. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a light watery, nutty, light hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Whatever happened to the Pedigree of old.

Last units in Hipercor. In Duvel glass. Playing Memoria. Nice beer. Very balanced but nothing amazing. Low alcohol makes it a good beer to drink in big quantities

Not a patch on what it was in the 70s. Too sweet, bland, like drinking highly sugared water

Cask at The King’s Arms, Lichfield. Pours light amber, single finger white creamy head. Aroma of lightly toasted malts, caramel, toffee...Taste of initial woodiness, then some lightly toasted malts, fruity fuggles hops...really nice and easy drinking.

Pours a finger of head on a clear medium straw body. The aroma is dry grain. The taste is mild sweet, dark fruits with a touch of lemon. The texture is smooth with low carbonation. Nice.
