2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
City Super in Taipei. Worth mentioning that the bottle says Pale Ale. I hope it is the same beer(the same beer is on the list but not accessible). Typical British bitter colour. Nose is malt and bread. Off creamy head that fades after 5 minutes, but leaves a good lacing. Light carbonation (thankfully). Light and crisp with a slightly malty, bitter taste to it. I like it, but it is too pricey on export. The kind of beer you session at the local pub on a Sunday and get better value than I am getting. Reminds me of home this one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500 ml bottle (Matured in Oak Barrels). Nice light amber colour, small short-lasting white head. Aroma of dough, some grassy notes. Pretty simple taste of a regular bitter: not sweet, mildly bitter. Light, thin-textured body with soft carbonation and bitter finish. Overall, an easy-drinking but not a standout. Popular classic brew worth trying once.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber/koperkleurige Ale, 1 vinger hoge licht crèmekleurige schuimkraag, kraakhelder, weinig koolzuur.
Aroma: Graan, karamel, brood/ biscuit, zoetig.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
As Matured in Oak Barrels. Pours a clear amber color, topped with a medium white ehad, non-lasting. Grassy nose with some cellar feel to it. Mild bitterness, a bit nutty feel with hebral bittery aftertaste, but mild. Light body, sparkly feeling. Drinkable.

Bottle. Quid a go, from Morrisons. Clear, light amber colour. Ring of off white head. Nose has wet cardboard. Grubby coins. Hint of spicy malt. Taste is light, metallic bitter. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Lots of carbonation. Thin, watery, bitter finish. Really quite poor.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A bottle from Jason’s near NCCU in Muzha, drunk at home. Aroma: floral, very fresh. Appearance; clear, ruby red, head soon dissipates. Palate: thin and light, soft carbonation, but long and astringent finish. Taste: lightly bitter. I could very happily work my way through several of these.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Not the best, dark wood colour, off white head, more chemical smell than beer, sharp bitter tang, very dry, will avoid

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled from a bottle. Not much different from the regular Pedigree. Still plenty of sweet malts with hints of toffee and apple. Earthy English hops give a nice bitter finish. Perhaps very slightly more vanilla from the oak barrels, giving a nice warmth to the sweet taste of this classic.
Earlier Rating: 11/4/2014 Total Score: 3.2
Copper colour with an off-white head. Lots of lacing in the glass. Malty aroma and the taste has plenty of malts with notes of toffee, nuts and apples with hints of (slightly strangely) bubblegum. Fruity, bitter finish. A very nice, interesting bitter with plenty of character and a good, hoppy bitterness. A great ale.
