Marston’s Smooth has all the easy drinking qualities you would expect from a smooth beer, with some extra - a truly distinctive and full flavoured taste. As with all our beers it is crafted with the finest ingredients. Prize winning barley delivers its full and malty flavour and our use of traditional English Golding and Fuggle Hops combine to create the clean, bitter taste. The late addition of American Cascade Hops delivers its enticing aroma and moreish citrus finish. Marston’s Smooth is a smooth beer with an ABV of 3.6%. You will find it available of draught nitrokeg in select pubs nationwide (UK).

Hullaledrinker (24) - East Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 20, 2016
Pint from my local pub, pretty bland & boring, not a lot of taste or flavour but it is smooth to drink.

Towey1989 (3159) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2016
Keg at The Mulberry Leaves, Leek (Marstons) A clear pale amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, some butterscotch, slight orange and subtle floral hops. Taste is similar of caramel, some butterscotch, a little toffee, slight orange and subtle floral hops. Light bodied and smooth but a watery texture. A sweetish, soft, floral hop bitterness in the finish. Ok, I’m not going to expected much from a draught bitter from Marstons but it’s got a decent hop presence. Boring and watery but it’s not terrible.

On tap at Edgbaston cricket ground, watching T20 County finals day. Had to settle for this after a fruitless search for a non-existent ’New World pale’ I overheard mentioned... Dark gold, off white nitro head. Aroma of malt, woody hops, light butterscotch. Sweet toffee with moderate earthy spicy woody bitterness, some egginess. Watery, flattish. Meh.

jamesie1857 (1975) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 16, 2014
On keg at Durham City FC - lots of good looks, but it is just another nitro bland with little character.

dynamiteninja (1875) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2014
Keg draught at the Durham Ox, Northallerton. This was surprisingly good. Amber body with a thin white head. Nose is hops, citrus, tangerines. Tangy taste. Dry finish. Pretty good for a mainstream "smooth" beer.

s_hartshorne (2796) - wakefield, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2014
[email protected] the old mill horbury. Clear amber colour decent white head and lacing. Aroma is hops. Taste is bitter hops. Medium body low carbonation. Easy to drink.

JorgeLee (2193) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 30, 2013
On tap at the Oval, watching all two deliveries of a rain-afflicted England-NZ T20 match with Gurney. Pretty average beer, mostly cold and wet nitrokegged crapness, there is a vague hint of some fruity hop in the finish but overall I wasn’t a fan.

ManVsBeer (10927) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2013
Smooth crisp golden ale with a thick creamy head on it. Has a fruity pale ale aroma and some of this is carried through in its taste.

vipinvelp (4510) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - DEC 3, 2012
Clear golden yellow with thick smooth foam head, lips ticking and making drinking rings to glass. Aroma is nice bitter hops, so is taste. A damn good beer, in particular ad I was thirsty. Short bitter aftertaste. (Humberside 201212) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

SarkyNorthener (4765) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2012
[email protected], wakefield. Gold colour large white creamy head. Aroma of floral hops. Taste of bitter floral hops a little sweetness. Creamy on the palate. Quite a nice pint for a creamflow.
