it’s just cheap and bad. metallic, steamed clothes, sticky. no hop aroma. only appearance is good. clear gold.

SJnoodles (7) - - OCT 29, 2017 does not count
Light, refreshing, cheap, and easy to get down. The taste is metalic hay and a little sour funky grass. Not as much flavor as Heineken.

YantarCoast (1557) - Moscow, RUSSIA - JUL 25, 2017
330ml can at 5%. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is corn, sweet malt, metal. Taste is corn, metal, very light bitterness.

Strangebrewer (1352) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 27, 2017
can. Poured clear gold with a rocky white head. Almost no aroma, grainy malts if anything. Light body, crisp carbonated mouthfeel. Flavour of cereal malt, sweet with decent dry bittnerness, tart citrusy note

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is pale lager malt and some wet paper bag. Flavor is grainy and dry with a little malt presence after the swallow. Clean and cheap but not much like a pils, more like a Dutch lager. This same brewer makes all those cheap Aldi’s beers.

Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 14, 2016
Bright straw color with a good amount of activity. Slightly frothy white 3 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with generous legs. Flavors of leaves, sweet grains, caramel, lemon, skunk, noble hops, floral spices. Pleasant sweetness, and lots of sharpness. Slick medium body with prickly carbonation. Light bitter finish, quite hoppy and malty, lingering smoky grass and skunky feel, with a sugary touch. Pretty good pilsener, lots of character and quality ingredients. Decent freshness and well balanced flavors. Pleasant to drink, but a little thin and flat in the mouth. Overall good quality craft.

500ml can BB 10/10/16
Aroma is sweetish malt with fruity notes.
Poured light golden straw with good head and nice lacing.
Good bitterness with fruity hoppy notes and a slight metallic finish.
OK for a cheap Pilsener.

Frothmeister (834) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 27, 2016
500ml can. Pours a good looking pale gold with a white head. On the nose, sweet malt, light grassy notes, and a faint fruity, honeydew melon note. Taste wise, pretty sweet for a pilsener, with caramel, a light raisin-like note, malt, that heads into mineral notes, and a sugar undertone that tastes a bit like freezer burnt popsicles. Yup, it’s cheap, but there is indeed better cheap beer out there.

Tall can: Apple juice yellow with foamy head that disappears quickly. Wet grain/corn smell and straw, perhaps sweet apple too because of its appearance.

Average creamy taste of the malts with a low/medium low hop finish which is probably more than enough for the mass market, but just okay for me. Slight after taste and hangs on palate.
