On tap at the source. Comes to the table in a 10 oz snifter. I had it for "dessert". Pours black with a 1/2" beige head that slowly dissapates leaving a web of lace. Aroma is chocolate with some woody notes and roasted malt. Sweet, yet slightly bitter flavor with a full, heavy palate. Some earthy hops to balance out all the sweet stuff. Nicely done. Draft @ Martha’s in a 10 oz. snifter. Thin layer of tan head that laced the snifter on the way down. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate and light wood notes. Flavors of roasted chocolate malt, cream, cocoa powder, raisins and light wood nuances. Secondary flavors of molasses and figs. I noticed a light hop as it warmed up. Full bodied with a nice creamy texture. My friend and I enjoyed this while eating a Chocolate Peanut Butter pie desert. It was a perfect complement to the pie. Well worth a try. johnnnniee (4405) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Comes to the table a solid black color with a good sized tan head that slowly dissipates but never leaves. Smells of roast, chocolate, licorice, molasses, wood, and earthy hops. The flavor follows the aroma quite well with lots of milk chocolate and dark burnt sugars up front. A moderate amount of dark fruits and woody notes with a balancing earthy hop flavor round things out nicely. Thick body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet creamy velvety mouthfeel. This is a nice thick stout, I quite enjoyed it. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JAN 22, 2012
