on tap-pours no head and hazy amber color. Aroma is mild sweet malt then some dark fruit-towards vinuous, dusty/grainy. Taste is sweet medium malt-slight chocolate, some dark fruit-towards vinuous, dusty/grainy, alcohol. Minimum carbonation. AirForceHops (7233) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Draft on 10 March, 2013. Served in Martha’s unique glass ware. Dark brown color with lots of ruby highlights. Aromas are ripe dark fruit, bread, and caramel. Soft carbonation with a sweet mouthfeel. Taste of malt, dark fruits, light roasted grains and a hint of toffee afterwards. This batch weighed in at 8.8 % ABV. And honestly only a very little hints of it on the backend. Very nice and worth a try. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - APR 21, 2004
Ruby purple hue with small tan ring and little lace. The aroma hints of plum and apple, caramel and toasted malts, floral hops, and zesty yeast esters. The taste starts fruity, sweet and surprisingly mild. Lots of sublime malt tones. Very mild bitterness and zesty spice on finish. The mouthfeel is soft yet refreshing and the alcohol is well hidden. This is a nice brew that works well with dinner. Even the swill drinker with me really enjoyed it, "the best damn beer I ever had" in his opinion. UPDATED: JAN 11, 2004 A slight sweetness at the end and a great maltiness throughout make this a great beer. Gets better as it gets warmer, like most beer IMHO. Imaena (2319) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - DEC 3, 2013
Draught. This is a nice simple dopple B with a nice malt character and good hopping.

On tap at Martha’s, served in a tulip style glass. Pours a nice clear brown color with a tiny off white head. Aroma is sweet malt and caramel. Smooth, silky palate with a substantial body. Flavor is all malt with caramel and toffee in the background. Finishes with a warm, glowing alcohol burn. Very nice. dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 7, 2004

Keg pour into taster cup at NH Brewfest. Appearance is dark brown with no sparkle, small ring of off-white head. Aroma is strong, sweet caramel, candied sugar. Taste is brown sugar, dark fruits, and almost like it was aged in oak--nice. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with soft-to-average carbonation and sweet finish. Overall, very enjoyable with most interesting feature being the taste. BitchesBrew (716) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 31, 2007
Slightly fruity, sweet malt aroma. Dark, brownish amber in color, with a nice white head. More sweet malt flavors, with some frutiness and a solid alcohol presence. Full bodied, slick mouthfeel. Very nice, overall.
