Pours black, with a finger of caramel colored head. Aroma is coffee, espresso, chocolate, cocoa nibs and some vanilla. The flavor is prominent and somewhat sharp but tasty coffee with some moderate roast, cocoa and hint of vanilla. Mouthfeel is semi creamy with medium carbonation. A very nice stout brewed by an underappreciate KC brewer and an exceptional Lawrence roaster. Glad to see the pairup. Coffee forward, naturally, lots of chocolate as well. Not particularly thick, but not watery either. Tried over Christmas with the parents in 2016.
