3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy yellow gold with medium head that disapates. Smells of tart lemon and a bit if straw but has a lager aroma. Taste follows nose but tartness and a funky yeast stand out. Mouthfeel is medium and very dry. Overall its decent but a bit on the lighter side for a saison.
Better than average saison. Very spicy, some sharp pepper and grapefruityness. Lemon finish. Clareeses (202) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 28, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2017 Not sure what I like about this, but I like it. Has a very robust yeast flavor, moderate carbonation. duster1354 (38) - Missouri, USA - SEP 17, 2016
Corse carbonation for the style but of no consequence since the head disappeared rapidly. Subtle to the nose, and well balanced. MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 11, 2016

hazy straw, thin white ring. Chalky heavy ester. Heavy banana ester front palate, light chalk and vitamin C mid palate before mineral heavy finish. Grainy end, light toast.
Sample at Boulevardia 2015. Comes a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of grass, floral, and yeast. Taste is clove, grass, floral, and yeast. Nice one. theisti (4244) - Kansas, USA - JUN 22, 2015
~3 oz sample at the Boulevardia Taps & Tastes in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed golden orange with with a not much of a white head. The aroma is traditional Saison yeast, cloves and grassy earth. The taste is the clove, though expresses in a much spicier manner than the nose, this is followed close by the grass and earth, and finishes with clean pleasant yeast notes. The palate is medium to light bodied, softer natural carbonation and the yeast finish. Always enjoy the Martin City Saisons.
