Draft @ brewpub. Dark gold in krug, cream-colored foamy sudsy head. Delicious aroma of minerals, stones, and herbal hops. Chalky, juicy palate. Nice farminess and mostly leafy, hoppy yum yum. Earth. clear burnt brick amber body with a thick off-white head. rich, rustic nose of beefy, toasty Munich malt with touches of minerals / calcium. the toffee / cracker / nut oil / toast character is splendid! I find myself thinking this may be close to the perfect dunkel landbier: toasty, dusty and rich with shape-shifting layers of Munich malt; frothy, full, round carbonation with a drying, toasty finish suggesting coffee cake and tobacco, wrapped up with subtly juicy nectar-like German hops. the smell is easily a 9 and might be a 10 on another day. we have a winner here, folks.
Draught at Brauerei Martin in Nov. 2012: Peachy golden. Persistent creamy head. Bright nose showcases vivid notes of toasty Munich along with floral nectar, honey-drizzled hay, and a smidgeon of marmalade and alcohol. Fine and lush carbonation. Radiant and slightly slick fruitiness is echoed by a juicy punch of floral hops and a kiss of yeasty rusticity. Soft and bouncy malt yields a lip-smacking succulence along with an obligatory deepening scratch of fresh toast and a dusting of dextrins. Pils malt generates an uncured hay grassiness as well as a touch of fresh biscuit. Finishes moist and fully malty, with toasted bread and a delicate slippery fruitiness gliding over the toasty dextrinous clench. Ceramic mug. Lots of foam - looks pretty. Very herbal hop nose. Minerally. Lots of hop, more minerals and a herbal character. Normally beers in the drier, hoppier pocket of Franconian country beer would have more bitterness, but I don’t mind. omhper (25132) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 6, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Served in stein with creamy head. Probably amberish colour. Sweaty strawberry aroma. Mid-sweet and medium bodied. A bit yeasty with a thin blanket of grassy hops. peculiar and estery with dryish grassy bitterness. Goes everywhere, but manages to stay enjoyable.

Aromatisch malziger, leider etwas blecherner Antrunk mit intensiv werdenden Malznoten, die eine nette und ausbalancierte Würze aufbauen. Wenig schokoladig, sehr angenehm, passend würzig. Gutes, sehr süffiges Dunkles mit passendem, immerhin etwas tiefergehendem Aroma. 7/9/9/11//10

Clear medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, pale malt, keller notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, acrid bitter, fruity, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
Spicy, buttery, agressive spice and hops., I get some bandaid / gunpowder as well. Medium chewy body nutty aftertaste.
