Dark red brown, clear with a nice creamy yellow foam. Weak smell, not much taste; the taste that is there is very much malty. Associations to gluhwein, vanilla and malt blocks. AirForceHops (8037) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Draft @ Novare Res. Darker amber in color with a small trace of white head. Aroma has sweet caramel malt with burnt toast / bread. Flavor is toffee, sugar, hints of herbal tea and yeast. A trace of a hop in the background. Medium to lighter in body with soft carbonation.

Not a whole lot going on here but it is a clean beer that maybe doable for a session or three. Simple and straight forward.
BeerViking (5133) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2013
Appearance: Clear deep nutty brown color with a finger thick off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Caramel malty and mild hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and a mild bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Caramel malty, cardboard and mild hoppy.
Overall impression: Nothing I will recommend.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with Grima
Bottle, pours amber-brown with a big fluffy but fast-settling head. An amber lager with that burnt caramel note that seems to be traditional with many (thought not all) German winterbiers now, the nose has toffee and faint hints of peach, the body is too gassy but otherwise farly full, with toffee malt notes, that burnt edge and a light but noticeable hoppy bitterness. Like a sweet and roasty bottled English bitter, unsophisticated but quaffable. Zita (6331) - Assentoft, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2012
light sweet malt, golden, clear, off white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, light soft, light bitter finish.

Amber coloured and clear. Has a white head, lasting. Aroma is malty-sweet, faint pepper notes. Caamel too. Flavor starts moderate sweet, some sharp bitter notes. Creamy texture and soft carbonation. Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 22, 2010
Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivnizub. Fennel is extremely present in the nose. Honey, caramel, fennel and butter in the taste. Marmite sneaking in. This bottle is possibly not in a perfect shape. I didn’t enjoy this beer. Thanks a lot pivnizub! shrubber85 (11710) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JAN 30, 2010
Bottle. Sweet toffee malt and grassy hops aroma. Clear amber color with large head. Sweet toffee malt flavor with a light hops finish. Decent beer but pretty average - nothing to make it stand out. Quack-Duck (9540) - Down South, GERMANY - JAN 18, 2010
bottle (Danke pivnizub!). Clear amber-brown colour, large off-white head. Malty nose. Malty, slightly hoppy with hints of caramel and honey. Very mild, otherwise quite pleasant. jonas (8281) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - DEC 19, 2009
Bottle. Caramel aroma. Dark copper, lacing head. Roast and light butterscotch, a few christmassy spices, roast retronasal. Medium body. Pleasant winter brew.
