Bottle, 75cl corked, courtesy of plovmand. A clear, golden beer with a huge, rapidly diminishing off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with some vinous notes. Dry, full-bodied and well carbonated. The flavor is malty, fruity and with a certain spicyness. Some alcohol too. Fruity finish with some spicyness. Not a bad beer, not at all, but for a beer made to celebrate 100 years, it’s not where it should be. 100814 Benzai (16681) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 11, 2012
Sampled at RBBSG. Clear light orange color, full sized white head. Not much aroma. Taste malts, slightly sweet, slightly bitter hints. Too high carbonation which takes away a lot of the flavor. Medium body. MiP (15972) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 14, 2010
Bottle, 6.8%. Weak citric aroma, perhaps a bit of Brett. Almost clear golden colour. Frothy white head, like soap bubbles. The flavour is nicely malty with a good Brett note. Good! But a little dry finish. djd07 (15543) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 27, 2012
750mL bottle thanks for bu11zeye at RBWG. Pours a cloudy yellow with small creamy white head. The aroma is clove and bubblegumy. Thick mouthfeel with a banana and clove with dry finish. A decent amber.
