Bottle at De Paas, Den Haag. Pours a dark golden color with almost no head. Aroma is malty, flavor is sweet and bitter in a nice balance. Nice creamy texture and a bitter finish. Nice pale ale. madmitch76 (25383) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2009
22nd February 2008. Strong bitter/ale smell belying it’s pale ale status. Fairly crisp - malt dominates the slight hoppyness. Lingering dry slightly bitter malt finish. Brings back those misty water colour memories of drinking sub standard ale in the 1970s!! Bragesnak (5394) - Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2009

Mid red, small head. Fruity hops and honey aroma, quite pleasant. Touch of glue briefly, and a hint of alcohol later. Rich malty body, a touch sticky, but that makes it fuller. Sweet dark fruits too, nice burnt edge. Nice little bite of hops too. Wasn’t expecting much from what’s in theory a a simple beer, but this was as good as many dubbels for its maltiness. Don’t drink cold, certainly better at 15C-ish.
orange, thick fluffy white head.
aroma is flowery, faint, fruity.
flavor is very fruity, red orange, spicy, ends bitter. Bontus (802) - Flanders, BELGIUM - MAR 26, 2009
Bottle @ "einde der beschaving" Gent. Pours golden bronze with a white head. Sticky bitter beer actually. Malty honey aroma’s. Very nasal dry bitter. Tongue thinks otherwise as in more sticky and lively. A bit sweet and boring but not bad at all.
