Bottle. Color clear orange with small white head. Aroma some malt, yeast. Taste sweet, yeast, some fruits.

Een donkergeel, helder bier met een iets grijze kraag. Een lekker zurige aroma op de achtergrond. De smaak is bitterzuur, maar niet onaangenaam. De nasmaak is enigszins dropachtig. A dark yellow, clear beer with a somewhat gray layer of foam. A nice sour aroma on the background. It taste somewhat bitter-sour, but it is not unpleasant. The aftertaste looks a bit like the taste of licorice.

Spina in un bar ad arenzano. Ambrata con schiuma così così. Si beve abbastanza bene. Un po' di luppolo ma metallico. C'è di peggio comunque. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

(Bottle, Poechenellekelder, Brussels, 25 Oct 2014) Pale amber colour with dense, off-white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with apricots, toast and citrus peel. Slightly metallic. Malty, fruity taste with notes of toast, apricots, dried fruit, crystal malt and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Quite nice.

Old school "Belgian pale ale", a remnant of the time when Belgian breweries were heavily inspired by the then-prevalent English beer styles. This is in that sense a classic, which many aged beer drinkers in Belgium are familiar with. I will re-taste it soon (I see the ABV has been increased a little bit since the last time I had this) but for now, this rating is based on old notes; a deep golden blonde beer with calm sparkling and creamy, off-white, medium head. Sweet main character: malt sweetness, caramelly, even sugary, a bit honeyish, somewhat metallic with rather thin body, fruity accents, light floral and herbal bitterish finish but the sweetness continues - in other words, this could have been a lot hoppier and would benefit from it. I did not like this too much, or any beer from this company, for that matter.

[email protected] Mahogany clear. Small head. Nutty earthy. Licorice dry. Fruity estery phenols. Very strange complex. I think I like it.

Clear amber with frothy one finger beige head. Nose is fruit, malt and grass. Malt, grains, toast, light honey, grass and pepper in the taste. Good as everyday drinking but nothing mind blowing.

nathanvc (508) - Brugge, BELGIUM - NOV 22, 2014
UPDATED: JAN 21, 2016 It appears golden amber with a lasting foamy head. The aroma has hops, grass, fruits and citrus. It tastes medium bitter with a lasting bittersweet, dry finish. Medium carbonation and slight metallic aftertaste. Refreshing and preferred to an average pils.
