Leighton (21075) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 15, 2012
Bottle at home in London. Pours clear, vibrant gold with a fluffy, white head. Some sugary, bready malts in the nose. Medium to big sweet flavor, bready, with some sweet fruits, white sugar, fine straw. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, clean, sugary finish, with basic bready pale malts, mild bitterness, some sweet hay, toasted sugar, maple, floral hops and lightly toasted grass. An OK beer, though not particularly impressive.

Golden color. Some hop aroma, a bit fruity. Round mouthfeel, well hopped, with some aromatic hop. Quite good, for John Martin’s…

Test vom 17.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,8,10,7,9,9 - 8,70

Bottled, alc. 5.8% (BB 08/2006)
Copper brown, decent creamy white head, some lace. Metallic malty, toffeeish aroma, some skunky hops somewhere there. Toffee malty is also the flavor with woody touch. In the finish some Kentish hops, which leaves semi-sweet, hoppy aftertaste. Decent EPA:

Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 9, 2003
Golden amber with the faintest caramel in the head. Sour woody hop aroma - peaches, metallic overtones, overbaked bread (not burnt but rock hard)...sweet and sour plums, apricots and pears. Caramel ever in the back ground.
