Somewhere in the midst of a classic, malty Dunkel and some more fruity, red brew it delivers an interesting blend of flavors, yet lacking the balance or complexity that would make it stand out here. Good, though. TAR (2802) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - MAR 26, 2017
Draft in Marktheidenfeld: Light chestnut with peach highlights. Unrefined aroma of marzipan, tomato, papery malt, metal, dog food, red licorice twists, cola and stale coffee. Pointy, discordant carbonation. Malt is notably limp from the commencement, with marzipan, wet paper and unsweetened chocolate along with wet leaves and and a pronounced metallic edge. Vegetal notes are here in legions, and unripe plum acidity only worsens things. No malty richness to be found. DMS its way into the mix, and I’m also getting some paint and plastic. Scant bitterness and flabby malt resembles wort and dog food in the dirty finish. A woefully unclean, muddled and aimless dunkel. lello4ever (1240) - ITALY - AUG 3, 2016
