[ As Martinsbräu Pilsener ].
Clear light to medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, moderate hoppy, grass - dry grass. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, dusty dry grass, grain, malty, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
It’s golden with a dense white head. The aroma has notes of slightly dusty grain, straw, and malt. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of dusty hay, straw and grain, and the finish is slightly dry and a bit dusty. 3fourths (9351) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 19, 2013
draft in Marktheidenfeld. sparkling pale straw body with a billowy and rocky white head, excellent retention with patchy, thick lacing. candy corn pilsner malt aroma with sugar snap pea hop notes early, developing more into some Shishito and Anaheim pepper (raw, not roasted) with some time. low sweetness, medium-low acid, medium-low bitterness. stale hop flavor is overrun with growing DMS and toasted corn kernel / corn nut character. light body with soft carbonation but rough malt huskiness / graininess and a pervasive stale saltine cracker flavor. very simple and un-cared for. to add to this misery, after approximately twenty minutes of breathing, this pilsner decides to emit scents of tomatos and makeup powder. yum. Like so many smaller breweries in Germant you want the Pilsner to say a bit more. There is nothing wrong with it but nothing obviously great either. pivnizub (10728) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 22, 2008
Bottle: Golden, huge fluffy white head, solid swet pale malt and aromatic herbal hops in the aroma; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, soft MF, clean hoppy and pale-malty finish. Good, pleasant Pils............. Quack-Duck (9487) - Down South, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2008
bottle, thank you MoritzF! Clear golden yellow, large white head. Malty base, pleasantly hoppy with grassy and nutty hints. Nice Pilsener with a rural character. MoritzF (10018) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - FEB 18, 2007
(on tap at a pub in Marktheidenfeld) Clear, pale golden colour with a beautiful and stable blond foamy head. Light sweet, pale malty nose with sour dough and a touch of hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated mf. Malty, slightly bready taste with herbal hops; dry and herbal hoppy finish with a balanced malty blend. Clean and solid German Pilsener (04.02.07). bierkoning (13451) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2006
Swing top bottle, tasted at Watermöll Bels in Vasse (NL). Indifferent aroma. Slight, partly faded hopbitter flavor. A bit sharp on the edges. Thinnish with a touch of dust. Drinkable.
