Clear, amber ale, with medium-low carbonation and creamy head. Light-bodied, and a little watery, but not unpleasantly so. Aroma of malts: caramel and bread. Flavour reveals a spicy hop, with grapefruit notes and pepper. Very drinkable! Ungstrup (38384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 21, 2011

Warning! Early amateur rating! Pint in a St Hellier boozer, Jersey. Served as ’Jersey Cream Ale’. Wasn’t until a couple of years later and meeting the brewers they confirmed this was Mary Ann. Sweet and creamy ale, good carbonation. Served cold. Best pint in Jersey!
From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is caramelish malty and slight fruity. Sweet caramelish, breadish and gradually dry bitter into a mild fruity and bitter finish.

Golden brown with no head. Malt and hop balance pretty well in the aroma but it’s let down by some diacetyl. Nice malty flavour. I actually feel a little harsh with my numbers as the malt is pretty good but it just doesn’t do much else. Just about some hop presence in the finish but they’re pretty uneventful too.
Cask at GBBF 2009. Gold, lasting beige head. Sweetish malt. OK yeast, malt balance. Drinkable enough bitter. Some hop tingle on finish. Christian (13815) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 5, 2009
