Bottle from the brewpub. Nice pour. The hop combination is unique, but not in a good way. To me, anyhow. The beer does not seem flawed; it just doesn't appeal to me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark golden body with a medium sized off-white head and soapy lacing. Assertive floral and citric hop notes, gentle caramel and pale malt base that largely stays out of the way. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, assertive bitterness and a semi-dry finish. Solid.

On draft at Beer Camp! Floral hops and a balanced caramel malt base make for a decent IPA. Surprisingly drinkable at almost 7%ABV. Nice IPA!

On tap at the brewpub in Altoona. Pours a hazy orange brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus, pale malts. Flavor of grassy hops, hop spices, floral hops, caramel malt. Lighter IPA than expected given the abv with lots of spices and interesting complexity. Good IPA, not as "in your face" as some IPAs. 8/4/8/4/14 (3.8/5)

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2015 Wow, can’t believe this beer has such a high rating. I had this at a brewfest yesterday and it was one of the worst beers there (and I’m a huge IPA fan). Too earthy with soapy, grassy, and other confusing things going on in the palate. Maybe I’ll give it a chance another time when I’m drinking a bunch of different styles. *Giving it another chance- still not all that good, but not as bad as I previously rated it. I’m bumping up the Taste and Overall scores a bit.

Draft. Pours amber with a slight red tint and a thin white head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is dominated by floral and grassy hops with a hint of toffee. Flavor is light sweet malt, heavy floral and grassy hops, and light pear esters. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.
