Bottle from the restaurant beside my hotel. Typical colour but not much head. Roasty aroma. And coffee. Soft, lactose-y body. Not so much roast here. Good, though.

Aroma soy, some smoky feel, touch of fig. Nice rounded theme. .
Top: lighter tanned cap .
Base: almost black.
Palate : medium bodied with thinner walls. Lighter carbonation.
Taste: tad plain, dark malts with nutty hints behind.
other notes simple yet tasty.

Poured from a bottle. Medium brown color, small tan head head. Medium roasted malt aroma. Medium body with a nice malt flavor mild finish.

On tap at the brewpub in Altoona. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt, lactose, light roasted malt. Flavor of light roasted malt, bitter chocolate, sweet malt. A light, sweet stout, pretty good. Very drinkable.

Draft. Pours deep, dark brown with thin beige head; good retention and some lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, smoke, coffee, earty hops, and dark chocolate. Flavor is heavy roasted, coffee, and chocolate malts, light dark fruit esters, and light earthy hops; earthy/woody notes throughout with a dry finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.
