COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lawnmower ale, more of a term than a style. Ours is fermented on two different toasts of French oak with a subtle aroma of peach and pear complementing subtle vinous notes. The palate is pleasantly drying with continuing hop and oak complexities.

To sum it up - interesting. Quite moreish woodiness, but at the same time the wood is too "new" and out of balance with the beer. Can’t really make out a beer underneath the overpowering wood. If you had a bit more beer, and a more subtle wood note, this could be something special.

Bottle from Cellarbrations Sandy Bay 271015. Very smash able beer as the name suggests. Nothing fancy about this beer, it’s just a good old fashioned session beer.

Really love this beer for a session alternative. Just tried a fresh one and it tastes different to the norm. (In a good way) Hops are forward, with pineapple, citrus and grass and oaky vanilla has lessened. Either its been tweaked or I just had a fresher beer. Loved it before, love more now.

Pretty solid if not unspectacular. A solid summer beer good for a boozy afternoon

TAP. Poured gold with minimal head. Very sweet tropical fruit on the nose, straight up peach with minimal hops/bitterness to finish. Summer beer. Sourced Pourhouse

Tap at Atticus Finch. A strange style to impart oak into, as the flavours are somewhat mild. However, this works surprisingly well. Pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is largely of pine and cut grass (appropriately) with some oak and spice. The taste is wood dominated, which seems to undermine the excellent hop choices slightly. Nevertheless, this is great for hot weather and I would have it again

Nice fruity aroma. Hazy golden amber. Ok. Was drunk when I tried this, can’t offer a lot of opinion. It was pretty decent, certainly had worse.

Tap at Mane Liquor. The name says it all. Could hammer these down on a hot Summer day and it’s very refreshing. Quite citric forward on the nose but more banana esters in the taste over the top. Straight forward but nice and clean. Solid

330ml Bottle. Pours a very hazy, brown tinted orange colour with a small, frothy and rapidly dissipating off white head. Woody and spiced aromas, with notes of ripe stonefruit and cherries. Slightly peppery aroma. Light boddied with a slightly gassy carbonation. Flavour is malty and peppery, with lots of oak. Finish comes through with soft notes of peach and straw.

A quick whiff from the bottle is rewarded with a generous peach aroma. Tastes so clean on the tongue with a little tang at the finish. At 4.4% it retains taste with packing too big a punch. Nice with a meat dish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
