Tasted 1/4/2016. Draught at Mash Brewing, Henley Brook. Poured a crystal clear dark amber/toffee colour with a one finger white head that diminished quickly and laced poorly. Carbonation low with medium sized bubbles giving a refreshing mouthfeel. Aroma of moderate strength fresh floral hops, citrus, passionfruit and pine. Taste similar with passionfruit, spritzy hops on the tongue and a bit of sweet malt. Light to medium body. Crisp and refreshing with a lingering moderate to strong piney hops on the finish. Good.

After seeing the toffee colour the element that strikes is the caramel aroma. Bit of floral as well. Even nutty. Has a crisp finish, not too bitter. Smooth and clean. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ALLOVATE (3057) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 24, 2013
Almost stroked with anxiety as this one was set down in front of me. Fond but maniacal memories of a roughly strewn, awkward early IPA of berth of Aussie’s need for hops - and at that stage this was more a giver of heartburn than a drop worthy of a sun downer. Now, with this produced up in front of me - pint in form; a deep amber and bright as bright. The head solid and lasting laces a thick web; carbonation well conditioned holding it aloft. A waft; oh wow another - so much clean, streamlined, well directed whole hops. Herbaceous and excitable nose of grapefruit, lemon and lime zest, honeydew and just a little grain to evoke fond memories this is a beer I am tasting, Bright, hoppy palate - nothing here I haven’t ran head strong into before but this just reaches out like no other. Firm body, light in carbonation and effortless to down. Balanced to the nines. Biscuity and grainy on the palate; light honey and sour tang to thrill the edges of the tongue, floral throughout. Big hoppy bite on the swallow sees the olfactories of the nose work hard to decipher and then it hits the belly and my mind just said "yeah!” Good lot of musk, light drizzle of vanilla, camphor, lavender and a whole lot of pine. A lasting impression on me. This is by no means comparable with the original. I loved it. Why is this not on draught at every Perth pub? Just plain good!!!

1L squealer. Pours crystal clear golden with a nice big fluffy white head. Have a very nice light citrus aroma which translate well to the flavour with a nice aussie biscuit like malt backbone.

Maris (1575) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - MAY 26, 2012
From a 330ml bottle on 27/5/2012. Pours a clear golden with a small head. Has a pleasant sweet, slightly floral aroma of fairy floss and passionfruit. The flavour has lots of sweet stone and citrus fruit (apricot, peach and lemon) up front with a medium balancing bitterness. An enjoyable, very solid APA. Could use a few more hops but a good beer none the less.

330ml bottle. Dark amber colour with a dirty white cap of foam that laces the glass. Lots of passionfruit in the aroma which is very sweet and inviting. The flavour is also pa led full of passionfruit and is quite lively in the mouth. This is a good beer.

Bottle at Y&J. Malty, with good hop support. Aromas of caramel, flowers, and grapefruit. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Dark yellow, with a frothy head.

Tap at Mash. Orange pour with a soft, fluffy white head sitting atop. Citrus peel and floral undertones on the nose. Very sessionable pale with a good amount of flavour. Citrus dominates with some clean, biscuity malts. Nice
