On tap at Draft, Raleigh. Kind of a weird redundancy in the name. I found this to be a competent and fairly typical American porter, with a slight over-emphasis on roasted malts and a too-thin body to substantiate those bold flavors, along with the chocolate base. pint at Tribeca tavern. Good aroma, sweet. Roasted malt, chocolate, nutty, caramel. Orangy brown color, small head, good lace. Bitter sweet flavor, Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Tasty enough, classic porter, taste best part, came on strong as it warmed. nice chocolate caramel flavors...

It pours a dark brown with a frothy, light tan head. The nose is nutty with a bit of roasted malt and caramel. The flavor is a bit roasty and dry with some caramel and earth notes. solid brown, lasting fine tan head, rich chocolate and roasted flavor, a nice coffee character, good balancing hop flavor and a lasting bitter finish, a bit too much bitterness from the roasted creates a touch of astrengency in the finish
