Nettes Dunkles, das aber einen ordentlich Stich zu haben schien. Lag wahrscheinlich am weit überzogenen MHD. Ansonsten malzig, sehr malzig und ungewöhnlich sauer. Pyrmir (6369) - Blattniksele, SWEDEN - JUL 31, 2013
330 ml bottle, rated from backlog. Aroma is sweet and sticky with malty bread notes, some berries and syrup. Taste is also sweet with malt, slight roastiness, some berries and hints of chocolate. Too sweet for my palate Gurthnar (6280) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - NOV 15, 2012
Tap at Na Spilce. Colour clear amber. Head huge creamy yellowish white. Aroma caramel malat and saaz. Taste very balanced, light hoppy bitter, light to medium honey caramel malty sweet. RBESG, on tap at na Parkanu, alongside (iirc) Per, Barak and Patrik. This one belonged to Per I think so a thanks goes to him. Poured an amber-red body with an off white head. Caramel and dust in the nose. Mollases?. Somewhat watery caramelly taste, chewy hops near the end but not all that big. Ok, nothing else. TimE (6259) - Tokyo, JAPAN - SEP 7, 2010

Back from a Czech Republic pub-crawl this is part of my express ratings for the “typical” Světlý 11°- (Czech light Pils), Světlý 12°+ (Czech Pils), Polotmavý (Czech Amber Lagers) and Tmavý (Czech Black Lagers). Non-typical beers will receive personalized descriptions after the express ratings.erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUL 20, 2012
How: Tap at Na Parkanu, Pilsen, Czech Republic
The look: Clear golden copper body with a large creamy off-white head
To me a typical Czech Polotmavé (Czech Amber Lagers) is: Hay and biscuit wrapped in caramel. Very light fruity notes with no specific fruits giving the impression of slightly fruity caramel. Moderately sweet. Sweetness is well balanced by dry grassy hops. Body is smooth. Medium carbonation.
This one: As above but a bit better put together than most. A typical but very good example of the style.
Light brown, almost clear, nice head. Malty yet clean base. Fruity sweetness. Bock like. Good bitter backup saves this beer. Bamsen78 (5616) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel with notes of hops and yeast. Bitter, hoppy onset, giving way to sweetish flavour of malt and caramel, ending on a slightly roasty and caramellish note. High but unobtrusive carbonation. A very nice Polotmavý. visionthing (5594) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 19, 2012
33cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours deep golden with a white head. Malty aroma with caramel and hints of fruits and hops. Sweet and caramelly but well balanced. Nice, but nothing special.

Tap at the pils urquell tap place. Alround rating: Malty amber ale, easy drinking enough, but could do with less carb and alcohol.
