Parkanu, Plzen. Quite sweet, with a caramelly malt sweetness. Felt a bit flat and lifeless and definitely on the sweet side. Some bitter hos in the finish make it quite pleasant though. Quite drinkable.
On tap at Prague Beer festival 2011 EricE (1367) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 5, 2011
Aroma fresh clean aroma with slight hop in nose. Sweet malts as base. 7-
Appearance deep amber with proper large creamy top. Some lace is shown. 3+
Flavor and Palate : Medium full bodied. Malt oriented. I would call rather sweet. Not very complex but decently brewed.
Bottle from the grocery stored in the subway station a block from my hotel. Pours an orange brown with a thin white head. Aroma of toasted malt, notes of nuts. A bit funky and with light citrus. Flavor is dry and watery. Light sweetness. Nutty notes and a moderate bitter hope finish. Not bad but not great. Silvan7 (1242) - Samarate, ITALY - JUN 8, 2014
Bottle. Amber color. Bready caramelly, soft floral aroma and flavor. Hints of butter and cinnamon. Decent. Cantabrian (1114) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 21, 2016
On tap at the Kavárna Obecní dům café in Prague. Not nearly as dark as I thought polotmavies (nice plural, eh?) had to be. Kind of amber, a bit of a darker, more reddish version of gold. White head could be a touch creamier. Very faint aroma of grains and malt. Light body, super easy to drink, with sweet flavours of malt, dried fruits and grain. Just a touch grassy, but not as nearly as any of the Pilsners. Nice!

Bottled from Jednota supermarket, Bratislava. Copper color with a medium white head. Aroma of toffee, grass, hints of caramel. taste pretty the same. Drinkable. Mad_Ferret (1015) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2011
Bottle. Clear deep amber with a decently big bumpy dirt white head that leaves good lacings.
Sweet aroma of caramel, toasty butterscotch, some butter, a hint of apricots and very faint hoppiness.
Taste is also sweet with caramel and butterscotch, a hint of oranges, very smooth and light grassy bitterness.
Medium to light body with a smooth mouthfeel and extremely low carbonation that almost feels flat. Weird.
An ok simple märzen.
