Bottle: Light hazy, pale yellow color, almost no head. Fruity aroma, notes of citrus, light malty. Flavor with bubble gum, light citrus, wheat, some hops, yeast. Nothing spectacular. Been there, done that.

500ml bottle (labelled as Umbri 19). 30th Oct 2017 at Chez Sophie with friends during the monthly beer exchange. Misty, pale gold, white topping. Not a lot going on really, light citrus notes within a very fizzy brew. Nice bottle and labeling, pity about the product.

Finally getting to submit my review of this fine birra artigianale that I brought home myself from Italy, only 3 years after I first saw this on a shelf during my 2014 trip to Sicily. Found this Belgian-ish blonde ale again - this time close to its hometown at a market in Umbria - under the Cavalieri label, and later enjoyed back at home in SC! This unfiltered, unpasteurized, and possibly re-fermented brew poured a thoroughly cloudy pale yellow honey color, with an aroma reminiscent of a yeasty and citrusy witbier. On the palate this was surprisingly light and refreshing, given the appearance looked heavier and murkier and less appealing than it actually was. Thin and light-bodied but in a distinctively crisp and airy way. Flavor of sweet and grainy malt with accents of lemon and herbal spiciness; the lemon flavor was pleasantly without any citrus tartness. Warming aftertaste of honey. Would be a perfect complement to the fresh mountain air of Umbria's many hilltop towns!

75cl. Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma citrus, grapefruit, bit soapy. Taste caramel sweets, nice bitter. Mouthfeel thin. Nice brew.

Botella grande. Murky blond looking colour, sparkling..!!!???, no head! Hmmm. Aroma has fruit and yeast but also light acid to it along with some spice. Flavour is soft, fruity yeasty acid bit, spitzy, ... strange, some spice.

Cotta 19, from 375ml bottle, at ’Na Pizz, Rimini, Italy. Pours an uninteresting orange with lots of irregular foam. Aroma is fruity and lemony. Body is average, with lots of carbonation, maybe excessive. Taste is sweet and tangy. No bitterness to be found. Finish is uninteresting.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
