On draft at MateVeza in SF. It pours orange with a white head. The aroma is crystal malt heavy with some tropical notes of peach and mango along with some herbaceous tea leaves in balance. The flavor is the same. More caramel heavy than I like, but the yerba mate character is interesting. gmb5127 (234) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 20, 2013
Has a slid aroma but minimal. Taste is bitter pine with a hint of citrus (little watery) , solid beer, definitely underrated. Brandman (2961) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 28, 2013
Orange body, large white head. Aroma has eucalyptus, tobacco and some herbs like cannabis. Flavour adds coffee and more herbs. Bitter. Like Vernet-Branca. skoisirius (1908) - Earth, Washington, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Ya know, it’s aight. Not great or anything, but the Earthy dirt side of this one I like. kaser (6382) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 16, 2013
Poured from a bottle. Orange and cloudy. Grapefruit and citrus taste. Not a good after taste. Average IPA. But would take it over a light

65 cl bottle @ home. Pours slightly cloudy amber with an off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is sweet with notes of spices, floral hops, caramel, and fruit. Flavour is sweet spices and fruit – with a dry finish. robforbes (2266) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - DEC 30, 2012
pours a cloudy orange with a small dirty white head, and good lacing.
smell is of pine, hops, Lysol, a slight organic funk, and some caramel.
taste is dry, caramel, hops, malt in the back, a bad organic aftertaste, and some citrus. ends dry and slightly bitter. daje (4535) - NORWAY - DEC 6, 2012
Bottle, shared september 15th 2012. Cloudy dark orange body, creamy white lasting head. Aroma is herbal with lemon, mango, spices? Malty taste with english tea, grass and yeast. Not sure why it’s labeled as an IPA, though I didn’t know what Yerba mate was either, looked it up after drinking the beer, and guess that explains the tea-like taste. Decent bitterness, and a dry aftertaste. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 20, 2012
A - Pours a very hazy golden-orange with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of grapefruit, citrus, orange, and pine hops with some light spicy hops, sweet caramel and biscuit malts, and some yerba.
T - Starts off with a mix of grapefruit, tropical, orange, and citrus hops with some bitterness and some sweet caramel malts and lemon zest. Through the middle, the pine and lightly spicy hops come through with some more bitterness alongside some biscuit malts and some yerba. The finish is a mix of grapefruit, orange, and pine hops, some lightly resiny bitterness, and some biscuit and caramel malts.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry and bitter finish.
D - Very drinkable. Really nice hoppy IPA with a good hop profile and bitterness throughout and good balance. Bragesnak (5394) - Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 16, 2012
