A - Pours a very hazy golden-orange with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of grapefruit, citrus, orange, and pine hops with some light spicy hops, sweet caramel and biscuit malts, and some yerba.
T - Starts off with a mix of grapefruit, tropical, orange, and citrus hops with some bitterness and some sweet caramel malts and lemon zest. Through the middle, the pine and lightly spicy hops come through with some more bitterness alongside some biscuit malts and some yerba. The finish is a mix of grapefruit, orange, and pine hops, some lightly resiny bitterness, and some biscuit and caramel malts.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry and bitter finish.
D - Very drinkable. Really nice hoppy IPA with a good hop profile and bitterness throughout and good balance. dwyerpg (6062) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - FEB 6, 2010
I think this is a quite tasty beer. A good initial hop bite, a lot of tea/honey flavor. This beer stays very consistent throughout. I really liked this. anders8000 (390) - aarhus.c., DENMARK - AUG 29, 2012
Hazy amber/golden with giant foamy white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, spices and herbs. Flavour is malt, yeast, medium sweet, spices, herbs, little sweet, high carbonation, hops and medium bitter. Enniskillen (2051) - Bakersfield, California, USA - APR 28, 2009
Amber with a thin white head. Aroma is a mix of earthy, and piney hops, light caramel, mild alcohol, dried fruit. Taste is a mild hoppiness, the yerba mate shows fairly strong in the background which causes the beer to have an interesting tea aspect to it, light caramel. If you like Yerba Mate tea, you’ll probably like this also. soyorganic (307) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 24, 2011
I really like this beer. Very smooth taste for an IPA, but a nice hop bite. The mate makes this taste smooth. Nice sweet backbone. Quaffable, Medium high carbonation. I will get this beer again.

Just returned from Buenos Aires, was stoked to see this beer! Naturally caffeinated IPA? Hell yeah....decent. allmyvinyl (10508) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 11, 2013
Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Aromas are caramel and hay, with a sweet sherbet note. Taste has tea, lemon, more caramel. Creamy texture. Light bitter finish, nice.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed amber with a thin white head. Soft herbal notes, a bit of citrus on the nose. Medium-bodied, soft malt, a touch of sweetness. More herbal notes coming through. Sweet into the finish, lingering herbal tea notes, light earthy bitterness. Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 3, 2010
I really enjoyed this beer, in part because I am partial to yerba mate on its own, but also because of the interesting play it has with the malts and the hops. I’ve been thinking about brewing a beer with tea, and this beer proves that tea can be very worthwhile addition to a beer. It has a sweet and bitter flavor of an IPA with the distinct flavor of the yerba mate. TipsyMcStager (1139) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 1, 2011
Nice grapefruit/citrus, lemon hop aroma. Pours slightly cloudy orange with nice white head. Mid range body. Citrus, astringence. dry hopped, but not overpowering. Could have more hops but not a deal breaker. Under rated IMO.
