UPDATED: MAY 28, 2009 Pours amber, like tea. Nice off-white head fades to a thin layer, leaving lots of lacing.
Initially quite floral, and VERY sweet. Smells like hopped malt extract, molasses, with a fair whack of resin.
Taste is a bit better, initial sweet toffee malt, then some resiny hops, then a big bitter finish. Unfortunately the bitterness is metallic and slightly astringent.
A little too watery. And that aforementioned astringency.
Dunno what’s going on here, way too sweet and malt dominated for an American pale ale. GMan71 (24) - Lower Mitcham, AUSTRALIA - DEC 30, 2008
Not a fan and won’t get again. Good colour and head. Typical Aussie APA flavour with extra bitterness at the end. Given I am not a fan of this style nor of too much bitterness was disappointing. However if you like the idea of a Little Creatures Pale Ale with more bitterness.... TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 23, 2008
Draught. A dark copper with a large pure white foamy head. Sweet malt on the nose, but that is it. Juicy malt on the palate at first, some tropical fruits, then an earthy finish. Did not get the hops at all. TimE (6069) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 14, 2008
Straight forward, single hopped beer. Hardly any bitterness. Not exciting, but well made. enak (27) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 21, 2008
Pours dark amber with 15mm head that lasts. Aroma of barley honey.
Tastes of burnt malt, a slighty stout-y flavour. Light herbs with hints of lime, thick grasses. End notes are of cream.

Bottle 345ml. Poured deep gold with off white head that lasted the beer out. Classic APA cascde hop aroma of tropical fruits and grass backed with sweet biscuity and caramel malts. Taste was bitter and of orange and mango. Finsh somewhat dry and light. Very well balanced, maybe a touch more bittering at the end to finsih it off. Excellent beer (but not the price). Pours crystal clear orange amber with fizzy off white head. Nose shows some sweet malt with spicy resin hops that have an almost metallic character, pretty slight though. Palate is dominated by hops, seems a touch thin. Perhaps needs some more sweet malt to fill it out a bit. Malt brings burnt caramel with spice and resin hops dominating. Finish is long but not overly intense. Session-able, but super overpriced!! Muggus69 (2666) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - FEB 18, 2008
345ml bottle. Clear reddish copper body, thick white head and lace. Leafy citrus hop nose, some woodiness also, an underlying toffee sweetness. Moderate carbonation, medium-to-lean body, a slight grittiness but nothing too offputting. Plenty of zesty citrus; lemon and grapefruit rind, some bitter orange with an underlying honeyish malt component. Finishes reasonably bitter, quite well balanced. A nice APA. gam (4037) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 17, 2008
