345ml bottle into shaker. Nose of cocoa and dark chocolate. Opaque red/brown beer with creamy white head. Medium body, bit of zinginess. Finish is dark chocolate, coffee & a touch of distant lemon. Delicious! varanid99 (1289) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 6, 2014
Deep brow, almost black with thin tan head. Head dissipates quickly and it looks like a glass of coke. Coffee, roasty, and a little licorice on the nose. Taste is sweet, a little coffee, brown sugar, roast. Not bad. Ngejo (979) - Jakarta, INDONESIA - AUG 29, 2014
Tap. Black, frothy, brown foam, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, & bitter finish. mattyhennessy (376) - Highton, AUSTRALIA - MAY 8, 2014
Pours dark with a light tan head. Very light bodied, medium carbonation. Strong coffee aromas, some malt and smoke. Taste is similar, coffee and a smokey finish. Refreshing due to the light body. StevieT (2015) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 19, 2014
From a bottle. Dark with a strong roasted coffee aroma, rich flavours of chocolate and roasted malt. I was surprised by this, I expected less.

Nice beer! Poured at a good temperature with a smallish, tan head that was quick to settle and no lace. Color is a clear brown tinted ruby. Aroma is a nice blend of malt, roast, toffee, cocoa, bit of smoke, maybe hint of anise. Flavor’s like nose, tang, malt, in front, then sweet, wit roast and smoke, cocoa, toffee, caramel. Body/carbonation good. Finish is like flavor, average length, very drinkable - have to go to the hotel bar to get more or maybe nearby bottleshop if I’m lucky. gnoff (10713) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2013

Clear, very dark reddish brown, close to black color, tan head. Roasted, sweet, grainy, coffee taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness that finishes dry. Sweet, malty, roasted scent.
Dark chestnut brown. Brown sugary, toffeeish. Light body. Some more brown sugar as it rounds out. lliams (204) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 14, 2013
actually a really tasty brew. Choc-malt on the nose, pour is brown and dull thanks to macro production i guess. flavours are long and dry roasty malt. not real dark but nice n toasty. good palate length too. CUB’s best beer probably BarossaLuke (552) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 15, 2013
Munich dark lager style. Quite a light beer flavour wise but not too bad. It’s in the 1000 beers to drink before you die book, but I’m not sure why...
