From a bottle. Dark with a strong roasted coffee aroma, rich flavours of chocolate and roasted malt. I was surprised by this, I expected less.

Nice beer! Poured at a good temperature with a smallish, tan head that was quick to settle and no lace. Color is a clear brown tinted ruby. Aroma is a nice blend of malt, roast, toffee, cocoa, bit of smoke, maybe hint of anise. Flavor’s like nose, tang, malt, in front, then sweet, wit roast and smoke, cocoa, toffee, caramel. Body/carbonation good. Clear, very dark reddish brown, close to black color, tan head. Roasted, sweet, grainy, coffee taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness that finishes dry. Sweet, malty, roasted scent.

Munich dark lager style. Quite a light beer flavour wise but not too bad. It’s in the 1000 beers to drink before you die book, but I’m not sure why...
